The CD design and data is both a combination of my work as a digital Artist/Illustrator and my interests as a researcher of historical data. The Hangman’s Record CD comprises of the scanned pages of a document listing all the principal executions over a period of 400 years. The original Hangman’s Record document which is over one hundred years old has severely deteriorated through age over the years and is unfortunately unsuitable for continued handling and inspection. This in part prompted me to scan the pages of the document for future reference and inspection. The resulting CD was an extension of this process! By preserving the document in this way, and the completion of the CD, I hope I am able to assist others with their own research.
